Lance
Shockley is
an accomplished
reining horse trainer with
over
$115,000 in NRHA
earnings to his
credit. In
addition to running
the Shockley training
program and overseeing
breeding operations,
Lance enjoys coaching
non pro and youth
riders. His students
have garnered many
major wins while
having a great time at
the shows.

Kate Shockley
knows how to
have a good
time!
She enjoys
showing in
youth and non
pro events,
and is an
exiting and
enthusiastic
Freestyle
exhibitor.
She also
enjoys
photography
and helping
out around the
barn.

ASSISTANT TRAINER:
LAUREN YOUNG
A Colorado
native,
Lauren started
riding at age
8 and her love
affair with
horses was
born.
Lauren
graduated from
Northeastern
Junior College
in 2008, then
began riding
for Shockley
Reining after
college.
Lauren is an
NRHA money
earner and
AQHA point
earner and has
become a great
asset to
Lance's
reining
training
program.

OFFICE MANAGER:
BARBARA CARLEY
For
over 10 years Barbara
Carley has kept the
office running
smoothly at Shockley
Reining. She oversees
all administrative
functions and provides
superb customer
service to breeding
and training clients.
Barbara's husband,
Alvin, is an engineer
for the Union Pacific
Railroad. Besides
showing and breeding a
few nice reining
mares, the couple
enjoy four wheeling in
the Colorado high
country.
